HaloCare Terms
HALOCARE TERMS
Last updated: October 19, 2026
These terms explain how the HaloCare membership works: what it costs, what is covered, how to make a claim and how to cancel. By starting HaloCare you agree to these terms. They apply in addition to the general Terms of Service (https://haloblinds.com/policies/terms-of-service) of HaloBlinds.
1. ABOUT HALOCARE
HaloCare is a monthly membership offered by HaloBlinds ("HaloBlinds", "we", "us"). It gives members accidental damage protection, replacement parts, priority support and member pricing for their HaloBlinds products.
HaloCare is a service membership provided by HaloBlinds. It is not an insurance policy.
2. WHICH BLINDS ARE COVERED
- HaloCare covers every HaloBlinds blind you bought from haloblinds.com, both the blinds you already own when you join and any blind you buy while your membership is active ("Covered Blinds").
- Your membership is linked to the email address you use at checkout when you start HaloCare. We link Covered Blinds to your membership through orders placed with that same email address. If you used a different email address for an earlier order, contact us and we will link it after checking that the order is yours.
- Covered Blinds must be installed at a home address of yours and used for normal private, residential use.
- One membership covers one household.
3. FREE FIRST MONTH, PRICE AND BILLING
- Free first month. New members get their first month free. You won't be charged for that month. A free first month is available once per person and household.
- Monthly price. After the free month, HaloCare costs the monthly price shown on the HaloCare page and at checkout for your country, in your local currency, including any applicable taxes. The first payment is taken 30 days after you join. After that, you are billed automatically every month on the same date until you cancel.
- Payment method. We charge the payment method you used at checkout. If a payment fails, we will try again and let you know. If payment still isn't received within 14 days, your membership may be paused or ended, and claims for damage during an unpaid period are not covered.
- Price changes. We may change the monthly price. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the new price takes effect.
4. CANCELLING
- You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing help@haloblinds.com. There are no cancellation fees.
- During the free month: cancel before day 30 and you pay nothing.
- After the free month: your membership stays active until the end of the month you have already paid for, and then ends. We don't refund partial months, unless the law requires it.
- Right of withdrawal (EU and UK customers): you have the right to withdraw from HaloCare within 14 days of joining without giving a reason. Because HaloCare starts straight away and the first month is free, withdrawing during this period costs you nothing.
- When your membership ends, cover stops. Claims for damage that happened while your membership was active can still be submitted within the claim period in section 7.
5. WHAT'S INCLUDED
- Accidental damage protection. If a Covered Blind is accidentally damaged in normal home use (for example knocked, pulled, dropped, torn or snapped), we will repair it, send replacement parts or replace the blind, at our choice.
- Replacement parts. Small components that wear out or break, such as cords, sealing strips, clips and end caps, are sent to you free of charge.
- Priority support. Your requests are handled before standard customer requests.
- Member pricing. 45% off on new HaloBlinds while your membership is active.
6. PLAN LIMITS
- Waiting period: cover for accidental damage starts 14 days after you join. Damage that happened before you joined, or during the waiting period, is not covered. Replacement parts and priority support are available from day one.
- Accidental damage claims: up to 2 approved claims per 12 months of membership, across all Covered Blinds.
- Replacement parts: up to 4 parts shipments per 12 months.
- Replacements are made to the same size and specification as the original blind. If that exact product, colour or finish is no longer available, we will provide the closest equivalent.
- Shipping of replacement blinds and parts to you is free within the countries we deliver to.
7. HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM
1. Email help@haloblinds.com or use the contact form within 30 days of the damage happening.
2. Include the email address of your membership, your order number if you have it, a short description of what happened and clear photos (or a short video) of the damage.
3. We review your claim and normally reply within 3 business days. We may ask for extra information or, in some cases, ask you to send back the damaged blind or part (we provide a prepaid label).
4. If your claim is approved, we arrange the repair, parts or replacement. A replaced blind or part becomes our property, and we may ask you to return or dispose of it.
Claims are free. You don't pay a claim fee or excess.
8. WHAT'S NOT COVERED
- Damage caused on purpose, or through abuse, neglect or reckless use.
- Damage that happened before you joined or during the waiting period, or while your membership was not active.
- Cosmetic wear and tear that doesn't affect how the blind works, such as minor scratches, fading or discolouration.
- Manufacturing defects. These are covered by the HaloBlinds warranty instead.
- Damage caused by modifying, cutting, painting or repairing the blind yourself, or by installing it against our installation instructions.
- Loss or theft of a blind.
- Damage in transit when we deliver your order. This is handled under our shipping policy.
- Damage caused by fire, flood, storms or other natural events, or by building works.
- Blinds used commercially (for example in hotels, rentals or offices), and products not bought from haloblinds.com.
- Costs other than the repair, parts or replacement itself, such as installation by a third party, or indirect or consequential losses.
9. FAIR USE AND FRAUD
HaloCare is meant for genuine accidents. We may refuse a claim and end a membership if a claim is false or exaggerated, or if the membership is used in a way these terms don't allow. Repeated claims for the same problem may be reviewed before approval.
10. YOUR WARRANTY AND CONSUMER RIGHTS
HaloCare comes on top of the HaloBlinds warranty and your statutory rights under consumer law. It doesn't replace or limit them. For a defect covered by warranty or by law, you can always rely on those rights, whether or not you are a HaloCare member.
11. LIABILITY
Under HaloCare, our responsibility is limited to repairing the Covered Blind, supplying parts or providing a replacement as described in these terms. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms, for example when we change the membership or when the law changes. We will email you at least 30 days before a change that affects you takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before the change applies.
13. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country.
